Originally self-released as a cassette in 1991, Cthonic was the worst titled album in rock history. Setting the stage for songs that would be requested for the rest of Kill Creek's lives despite their attempts to dismiss them as putrid crap (Johnny Boy, Cowhead), people said it was good.
Recorded by Ed Rose and J.J. Jackson, Cthonic featured Kim Czarnopys, and Mark Johnson joining Ken Anderson (for one of his stints at the drum stool). Since then, Cthonic has served as a reserve for future Kill Creek albums (Killing, Where You Go, Bartender), and as a parts bin for future songs (Cixou, which was raped for a few parts for Six-two (get it?)).
It also served for inspiration for one of Pat's masterworks, the "Set My Brother's Free, Pig" T-Shirt.
