STRETCH

Stretch Cover Art

Stretch was meant to get us out to radio before we released St. Valentine's Garage, and to give us something to sell on the road.  We released it on Mammoth before we even signed contracts.

It was also a catch-all for songs that we had recorded as demos but had no intention of playing for the rest of our lives.  Older songs that we just wanted to document were thrown on, and they wound up as fan-favorites and personal favorites anyway.

Bartender proves that a band should never re-record a song with which they are already pleased.  The early self-released version of Bartender was subtle and wounded.  This version is like hunting hummingbirds with a shotgun.

Stretch was recorded in the same sessions as the songs for STVG,
